This new generation of rappers should be worried about releasing new music in 2017, because Royce 5’9” hasn’t slowed down on his promise of refurbishing today’s mainstream rap hits and transforming them from obnoxiously mumbled repetition of verbal vomit spewed overtop of recycled cookie-cutter production into something fans of real hip-hop can appreciate, publicly.
Nickel Nine just released his latest 2 for 1 slaughtering of instrumentals on “Beats Keep Callin” that takes on the hottest song (so-far) of 2017, “Bad & Boujee” by the Migos, and also smashes “Lockjaw” from French Montana and the rapper(?) Kodak Black, who said he’s “better than Lil’ Wayne” at rapping, and claimed that if Lil’ Wayne, who is “too old, man,” disagrees and wants his title back (did he ever actually have it?), he’ll have to fight him for it.
Step your bars up, kids, or you might end up getting bodied by Royce…
